Madi Ward is the club’s newest female Black Belt, beginning her Ju Jitsu journey in 2017 at just 11 years old with the goal of learning self-defence. It wasn’t long before she discovered that Ju Jitsu offered much more, developing a passion for the art and a particular love for the throwing aspect of training.
Madi graded to her 1st Kyu Brown Belt in Gibraltar in 2022, marking an important milestone in her journey. Three years later, she returned to Gibraltar to achieve her Black Belt, a fitting and meaningful place to reach this major achievement. At just 20 years old, Madi represents the next generation of dedicated and inspiring Ju Jitsu practitioners within the club.
